Key Responsibilities:
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Work with outside data sources and APIs.
Unit-test code for robustness, usability, and reliability.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Integrate Google Maps API and related features into the application.
Follow the MVVM architecture pattern for cleaner, maintainable code and separation of concerns.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Android Developer, with a portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
Understanding of the mobile development lifecycle and UI/UX standards.
Familiarity with MVVM architecture for building scalable and maintainable applications.
Experience with Google Maps API for location-based features.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Nice to Have:
Experience with Android frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
Familiarity with tools like Firebase and Google Analytics.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Prior experience with code review processes and collaborative development environments.
