Abide by the rules and regulations of the hotel Supervise the Assistant Front Office Managers, Lobby Managers, Duty managers, Reservations, Supervises to ensure Optimum occupancy and average room rate for the purposes of maximizing revenue
Monitors Front Office personnel to ensure Guests receive prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition. Monitors front office personnel departments and particularly Guest relations personnel to ensure that all Guests receive special attention and recognition
Informs other operations departments, notably housekeeping, of Front Office matters which concern them. Communicates to the General Manager or his/her delegate information related to them , such as the expected arrivals and departure of V.I.PS and all other pertinent information
Develops standards operating procedures for each area under Front office
Establishes and maintains effective employee relations
Conducts such functions as interviewing, Orientations, hiring, performance, appraisals, counselling, Absenteeism, coaching , training and suspending if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity, consult with section heads, Personnel Manager as appropriate
Identifies training needs, co-ordinates formal training plans, implements and conducts training sessions
Assumes overall responsibilities for maintain standards to ensures furnishing , facilities and equipment are clean , in good repair and well maintained
Schedule regularly conducts routine inspection of area under his/her control
Maintain appropriates standards of discipline conducts, grooming hygiene , uniforms, appearance and posture of departmental employees, conducts comprehensive fortnightly by departmental meetings to include a review of procedures and events which warrant special handling and details information
Promotes inter hotel sales and in house facilities , controls and analyses, on and on going basis, departmental employees as to ensure performance against budgets
Participates in the preparation of the hotel strategies plan, marketing plan and goals program. prepares the front office departmental budgets
Prepares and submits statistical performance and forecast reports as necessary, to facility Annual budget and strategies plan preparation and provide management with marketing information.
Supervises the activities of front office cashier to the extent necessary to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth working relationships with reception refers, procedural and discipline problems to the financial controller.
Check billing instructions and guest credit of accuracy and compliance with hotel credit policy
Analysis and approves discounts and relates, the rate variance report prepared by the income auditor to ensure room revenue control
Reviews and co-ordinates daily with Executive house keeper /chief Engineer with regards to the status of under repair rooms
Under the general direction of the General Manager or his/her delegate and local hotel policies and procedures overseas and direct all aspects of Front office operations which shall include but not be limited to the followings: Duty Managers, Lobby Managers, Assistant Managers, Guests relations, Reception, Reservations, Telephone /Telex, bell desk, Heath club etc.
