Job Summary
Mercy Hospital, Kottayam is looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Staff Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit (CCU). The ideal candidate should have experience in providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients and be capable of working effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CCU.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and clinical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council Registration.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in CCU, ICU, or Critical Care Nursing.
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
