Conduct daily physical stock-taking of all items in the warehouse. Cross-check physical counts against the records in the Marg software. Any mismatches must be flagged and sorted out on the same day with the accounts team. Keep a clear, item-by-item picture of the full inventory at all times. Know what is in stock, what is running low, and what is out of stock, so that the sales team and accounts department get accurate information when they need it. Do regular stock aging checks. Identify items that have been sitting in the warehouse too long or are close to expiry. Check damaged stock separately and report it to management with a clear count and estimated loss value. Prepare reorder reports based on current stock levels and how fast items are moving. Track which items sell quickly and which are slow. Set minimum stock levels for high-demand products and flag reorder needs before stock runs out, not after. Check all incoming purchases at the time of receipt. Verify quantities, quality, and item details against the purchase order. Report any shortages or damaged goods to the accounts department and the supplier right away. Supervise the daily loading and dispatch of delivery vehicles. Work with drivers and sales executives to make sure the right goods are loaded for the right routes, matching the orders placed. Control delivery speed. Make sure all delivery vehicles leave on time as per the daily schedule. The target is to finish loading and dispatch by the set time each morning. Track delays and report the reasons to management. Stay in touch with drivers during delivery runs to track progress and handle problems such as returns, shortages, or customer complaints about wrong items. Keep the warehouse floor clean and organised. Arrange goods so that fast-moving items are easy to reach, stock rotation (first-in, first-out) is followed, and the floor is safe for movement and loading.
Requirements Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in grocery wholesale or FMCG distribution Comfortable working with inventory software (training on Marg will be provided if needed) Able to manage and coordinate with drivers, loaders, and floor staff Physically active and present on the warehouse floor throughout working hours Able to communicate clearly in Malayalam and basic English
