How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As a BI Application Developer, will play a pivotal role in planning, executing and delivering the enterprise data and analytics initiatives following industry standard practices and tools. You will provide services such as business intelligence, market/customer research and analysis, and dashboard/scorecard creation. This role will require the ability to understand business requirements, design technical solutions, and work with a wide range of business users and technical team members. You will require a variety of skills including: data modeling, ETL, SQL, problem analysis, and data exploration.
The ideal candidate will be based in Goa, India.
You Will Make an Impact by:
- Designing and developing actionable BI solutions that provide insights to decision makers by integrating data from different sources, and present in different analytical platforms (reports, dashboards, mobile, visualizations) based on user personas.
- Proactively working with business users and source system analysts to understand and gain expertise in business process and data relationships.
- Analyzing the solution impact on existing systems and process, and working with various teams to finalize the scope and depth of testing required for production deployment.
- Delivering projects by authoring / reviewing solution design, functional design, technical design, and test sets and collaborating with global teams in delivery.
- Analyzing customer requests for feasibility, developing project scope, and building timelines for delivery.
- Setting up and adhering to the organizational development process and standards.
- Programming, testing, implementing and maintaining any data extraction programs necessary to extract the data from source systems and move to the data warehouse.
- Utilizing global development teams to develop ETL and Analytical Solutions.
- Developing business universes (semantic layer for ad-hoc reporting), reports, dashboards, and other business user facing analytics solutions.
- Working with security team to secure the data. Working with the system, database, and application administrators to ensure that application performs within the defined performance parameters.
- Proactively recommending and implementing enhancements and/or upgrades.
- Providing technical support to business clients by performing detailed root cause analysis and developing a solution to prevent production issues.
- Proactively developing and supervising checklists to eliminate future issues.
- Providing on-call support on a rotation basis.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or another technical scientific discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing technologies (Data modeling, ETL, Data Analysis, SQL, Reporting, Dashboards, Mobile, Visualization, etc.)
