Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the merchant acquirer, processor, and marketing partner for the millions of merchants around the world who accept American Express Cards.
The Strategy, Planning & Enablement (SP&E) Analyst role is an integral part of the Global Strategy, Operations & Performance (GSOP) SP&E team that supports GMNS business performance through merchant data analysis, sales performance insights, and enhancement of tracking capabilities across Merchant Force and related reporting ecosystems.
The successful candidate should have a strong technical, analytical, and process-oriented mindset. They should feel comfortable collaborating with internal customers across the globe and demonstrate thought leadership and professionalism while performing job responsibilities.
Qualificiations:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Technical skills:
- SQL programming
- Tableau
- Advanced user of Excel and Power-point.
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and transforming data into meaningful business insights.
- Strong communication / influencing skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work well under stress and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and processes.
- Exposure to reporting, business analytics, and project coordination/management activities.
- Experience with Merchant Force, sales incentive reporting, merchant performance analytics, or CRM-based sales datasets is preferred.
