Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Requirements Cloud Platform: Expertise in AWS is mandatory. Deep hands-on experience with core services including, but not limited to: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudFront, and ElastiCache (Redis/Memcached).
Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS) or AWS ECS.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience writing clean, modular code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. CI/CD Tools: Mastery of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
Database Management: Experience managing and scaling relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL/Aurora) and NoSQL databases under heavy read/write loads.
Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for operational automation.
Observability Stack: Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/OpenSearch stack.
Experience & Background Experience:
5+ years of dedicated DevOps/SRE experience.
Domain Expertise: Proven track record of managing infrastructure for large-scale, high-traffic web applications (e.g., e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS platforms with millions of active users).
Problem Solving: Strong understanding of system internals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS), and distributed system architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), and API Gateways.
Understanding of e-commerce specific challenges (e.g., inventory race conditions, payment gateway integrations, and data compliance like PCI-DSS).
