Role Overview
As a Retail Design Associate, you will play a crucial role in engaging with our clients, understanding their needs, and providing comprehensive lighting design solutions. You will work closely with the design and project teams to support customers throughout their journey, from concept to completion. This position will require strong communication skills, design knowledge, and hands-on client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interaction & Consultation: Address client queries, provide expert advice on lighting output, design, and layout for both residential and commercial spaces.
- B2B/B2C Customer Support: Handle client profiles and manage their unique requirements in both B2B and B2C contexts.
- Photoshopped Visuals: Create photoshopped images showing how lighting fixtures will look on-site, assisting clients in visualizing the final product.
- CAD Design Assistance: Collaborate with the design team to provide clients with advice on new designs through CAD and other visualization tools.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess spaces and provide tailored lighting solutions to clients, ensuring that the recommendations align with their requirements.
- Studio Consultation: Offer product and solution advice in our studio, guiding clients through the selection process.
- Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating between the design, assembly, and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role or relevant experience in the lighting, design, or retail sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, and other design tools; familiarity with lighting layouts and outputs.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to advise clients and collaborate with internal teams effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in creating visuals, understanding project requirements, and assisting in design processes.
- Problem-solving Abilities: Ability to think creatively and offer tailored solutions that meet client expectations.
