Requirement:
The incumbent will work closely with the Director of the Centre for Asian Studies to ensure all academic activities run smoothly and on time. This role requires the candidate to support day to day academic operations of the Centre by maintaining proper coordination within the department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day academic activities and coordination.
- Maintain Centre records and academic data.
- Correspond independently with international collaborators.
- Correspond with national and international funding organisations.
- Coordinate with CAS cluster coordinators and members across the 3 campuses.
- Coordinate Director’s periodic travel to Vizag and Hyderabad.
- Support the Organization of CAS events in Bangalore/Hyderabad/Vizag.
- Coordinate with the website developer to keep CAS presence updated.
- Prepare reports, letters, and academic documents.
- Share updates with campus and cluster coordinators.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all CAS-related work.
- Liaise with the offices of the GSHS across campuses and with the offices
- of Gitam leadership as and when required.
- Any other CAS-related work assigned by the Director.
Education and Experience: Minimum of Graduation with relevant administrative experience
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bengaluru, Karnataka (Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural District): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
