Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Location: Focal Point
Reports To: Quality Manager

Job Summary

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, testing, analyzing quality data, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Calibrate and maintain measuring and testing equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
2–5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or quality assurance.
Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
Proficiency in quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and SPC.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Preferred Skills

Experience with quality audits and inspection procedures.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Certification in Quality Engineering or Quality Management is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Product defect rate.
First-pass yield.
Customer complaint reduction.
Audit compliance score.
Corrective action closure rate.

Working Conditions

Factory, manufacturing plant, construction site, or engineering environment.
May require shift work, field inspections, and occasional travel.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
