You will be the part of FLSmidth’ s Quality control team who is responsible for handling our Assembly Quality Control function for all FLSmidth new Mining products manufactured in Bawal facility. This involves good level of technical expertise for all assembly processes.
Ensure all equipment assembly processes meet established quality standards and specifications.
Perform regular inspections and audits to detect and address quality issues promptly.
Manage and conduct inspections and tests on assembled products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Identify and implement improvements in assembly processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality defects.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Communicate quality-related issues and solutions effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
Provide training and support to assembly teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the assembly operations.
Ensure that assembled products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and reliability.
Address and resolve customer quality concerns & customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Assist in evaluating and monitoring supplier quality performance, providing feedback and working with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality management systems and procedures, and support external audits as needed.
Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test procedures, and quality plans.
Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Should possess good communication skills.
Work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, and vendors/contractor.
Proficiency in 7 QC tools and techniques (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Should be capable of handling measuring instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, Hardness tester, bevel gauge.
Should have proper knowledge of the manufacturing processes related to assembly & testing processes of new mining products.
Strong time management skills.
In depth knowledge of materials & aware with IS & EN standards.
ASNT level 2 in PT, MPT, UT is desirable.
