Full job description

A plumbing supervisor is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. Their duties include:

Planning and scheduling: Assigning work to plumbers and other staff, and scheduling maintenance
Quality assurance: Ensuring that work meets quality and efficiency standards
Safety: Ensuring that safety standards are met and that work is done in a safe environment
Communication: Developing and communicating procedures, and documenting work in reports and tracking systems
Training: Training workers or arranging for training
Materials: Requisitioning materials and supplies
Problem solving: Resolving work problems and recommending improvements
Reporting: Preparing reports and schedules
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations and codes
Customer service: Providing exceptional customer service

Plumbing supervisors should have knowledge of plumbing, building maintenance, HVAC, sanitation, refrigeration, and/or electrical systems. They should also be able to work independently, be a good listener, and have a positive attitude.
