Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate Native Android Developer to join our development team. The candidate should have experience building Android applications using modern Android development practices and should be comfortable working with APIs, Firebase services, responsive UI designs, and Android TV applications.

The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, write clean and maintainable code, and work collaboratively with the team. The developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Android applications aimed at a wide range of Android devices and their integration with back-end services. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will work alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Native Android applications using Kotlin
Design and implement responsive Android UI using XML layouts and Jetpack Compose
Build applications optimized for mobile and Android TV devices
Integrate REST APIs and handle API responses efficiently
Work with Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Push Notifications
Implement Dependency Injection in Android applications
Debug and fix application issues and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers
Follow MVVM architecture and modern Android development standards
Optimize applications for performance and scalability
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve overall application stability
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Skills

Strong knowledge of Kotlin
Good understanding of XML layouts and Jetpack Compose
Experience with Android Jetpack libraries and components
Knowledge of MVVM Architecture
Knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, or StateFlow
Experience with Retrofit and OkHttp
Understanding of RecyclerView and custom adapters
Strong knowledge of Android SDK and handling different screen sizes
Experience in Responsive UI Design
Experience developing Android TV / TV Responsive applications
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Knowledge of Firebase services
Experience with Dependency Injection (Hilt / Dagger)
Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Knowledge of open-source Android libraries and ecosystem tools
Strong debugging, benchmarking, and optimization skills
Understanding of Google Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of Git version control
Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI/CD)
