Position Overview:
The Director-People Operations position is a senior position and a part of the Country Management Team. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within our organization and the role’s primary objective will be to align our workforce strategy with our business goals, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain a diverse and talented workforce. They will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work culture and implementing HR policies and initiatives that drive employee engagement, productivity, and organizational success. The position will be report directly to the Country Director and will directly manage the Senior Manager, People Operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the organization's overall mission, vision, and values.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify HR priorities and support the achievement of business objectives through effective talent management.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent for various positions.
Develop innovative sourcing strategies to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Implement robust onboarding programs to ensure remarkable experiences for new hires.
Drive performance management processes to enable continuous improvement and career development opportunities.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
Lead the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion priorities for the organization in line with global initiatives.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives and reward & recognition programs to understand employee engagement trends.
Design HR Dashboards and utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and make data-backed decisions.
Present HR Dashboards periodically to the Core Management team for strategic planning.
Learning and Development:
Ensure the yearly training calendar caters to functional and behavioral training proposed by functional managers and individuals during performance management discussions.
Design and implement training programs that address skill gaps and support professional growth.
Ensure a return on investment (ROI) for training initiatives.
Create robust system of succession planning.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
HR Compliance, Policies, Compensation and Benefits:
Establish and maintain positive employee relations throughout the organization.
Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and improve employee retention.
Collaborate with finance and leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent.
Stay informed about market trends and best practices to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive.
Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and best practices.
Other
Participate in any other activities which may be required to be undertaken to fulfil the objectives of the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned by Country Director.
Undertake field visits as required, in consultation with the Country Director.
Represent RtR at various platforms.
Qualification and Experience:
Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Proven 12-15 years of progressive experience in the field of Human Resources, demonstrating a strong track record of growth and accomplishment. Min 3-5 years of experience in a senior HR leadership role.
Knowledge of best practices in Human Resource Management
Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills, including skills of managing and mentoring multiple teams.
Good written and oral communication skills
