Responsible for design, development, modification, debug and/or maintenance of software systems

What will your job look like?

Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Python as part of a distributed data platform.
Implement new features and enhancements while ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance benchmarks, and scalability requirements.
Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability under guidance from senior engineers or architects.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve development, test, and production issues , including issues in distributed and data‑intensive systems.
Work with Kafka‑based messaging and event‑driven components , ensuring correct data flow and system behavior.

Exposure to Azure Databricks or GCP Dataproc is a plus.

Develop unit tests and contribute to integration, load, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
Build and package applications using Docker and deploy via Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) following standard processes.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint activities, providing constructive technical input.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to features, fixes, and deployment artifacts.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams such as QA, DevOps, and Product to deliver stable and high‑quality releases.

All you need is...

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline , or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot ; Python experience is preferred .
Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes , and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins .
Ability to analyze issues, debug complex problems, and implement effective fixes in production systems.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
