Education: Master's in Pharma or Food Science & Technology
Experience: 5-6 years
A highly trained Production Chemist specializing in the formulation and production of Whey Protein, Pre-Workouts, Infant Foods, Ready-to-Serve (RTS), and Ready-to-Drink (RTD) products, with expertise in handling various dairy powders and understanding their role in food and Nutraceutical formulations.
Key Areas of Expertise:
Dairy Powders: Comprehensive knowledge of WPC (Whey Protein Concentrate), WPI (Whey Protein Isolate), SMP (Skimmed Milk Powder), WMP (Whole Milk Powder), and Dairy Whitener.
Physiochemical Properties: Detailed understanding of the powders' properties such as solubility, hygroscopicity, and reconstitution behavior.
Role in Formulations: Experience in optimizing these powders for various applications like infant food, nutritional supplements, and protein products.
Powder Characteristics:
Flowability: Ensuring proper powder handling by assessing flow properties for smooth production.
Particle Size and Density: Ability to adjust particle size, bulk density, and mesh size to meet product requirements.
Blending Time: Expertise in determining optimal blending time for uniform mixing and preventing segregation.
Flavour Setting: Skilled in the fine-tuning of flavor profiles, ensuring the right taste balance in whey proteins and pre-workouts.
Temperature & Relative Humidity (RH): Understanding the impact of temperature and humidity control on powder stability, preventing caking or clumping during processing and storage.
Packaging Materials: Selection of suitable packaging based on the powder’s sensitivity to moisture, oxygen, and light, ensuring product integrity and extended shelf life.
Testing & Quality Control:
Conducting tests to monitor powder flowability, particle size distribution, and density.
Running shelf-life stability tests to ensure long-term quality.
Performing tests on mesh size to confirm proper granulation for the intended application.
Production Troubleshooting: Resolving production-related issues such as powder agglomeration, inconsistent mixing, or quality defects in herbal extract formulations.
Herbal Extracts Formulation: Specialized in the formulation of herbal extracts and their incorporation into tablets and capsules, with experience in managing excipients, compression, and dissolution properties.
Documentation and Compliance: Thorough in maintaining all necessary production documentation, including batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality reports for regulatory compliance in Nutraceutical industry.
