Job Title: Contracts Engineer

Job Description:
MIT Group of Institutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Engineer to manage contractual, commercial, and project-related activities. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in contract administration, tendering, vendor management, and project coordination within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Manage tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contract award procedures.
- Monitor contract compliance and ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors regarding contractual matters.
- Prepare and maintain contract documentation, correspondence, and reports.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders as per contractual terms.
- Assist in cost control, budgeting, and commercial management activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support project execution through effective contract and stakeholder management.
Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Additional certification in Contract Management, Construction Management, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in Contract Management, Tendering, Procurement, and Project Coordination.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, institutional, or commercial projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts, tender documentation, and project commercial management will be an added advantage.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and tendering processes.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
Salary:
As per institutional norms and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
