About the Role

We are seeking a Counsellor who will guide learners through their EnglishYaari journey — from their very first interaction to achieving their communication goals. As a Counsellor, you’ll play a key role in understanding learner needs, recommending the right plans, ensuring smooth onboarding, and building long-term learner relationships.

This is a people-first role where your ability to listen, empathize, and recommend solutions will directly impact both learner success and company growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

Engage with leads (via calls and chats) and guide them through the learning journey.
Ensure learners attend their scheduled sessions through timely reminders and support.
Convert trial users into paid learners by understanding their needs and building trust through consultative conversations.
Guide learners through onboarding and explain platform usage clearly.
Handle learner queries, concerns, and feedback with empathy and professionalism.
Collaborate with Tutors, Product, and Marketing teams to improve learner experience.
Meet weekly/monthly trial completion, conversion and retention targets.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and provide reports on performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
0–2 years of experience in Counselling, Sales, Customer Support, or EdTech.
Strong communication skills in English (spoken & written).
Ability to build trust, empathize with learners, and handle objections effectively.
Goal-oriented with the ability to achieve targets under deadlines.
Comfortable using CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and digital communication platforms.
Passion for education and learner success.
