What is a typical day like for you at the company?
AS Consultants and Client-Facing Roles
Morning Planning:
Review client priorities, set the agenda for the day, and prepare for any scheduled client presentations or discussions.
Client Engagements:
Meet with clients to discuss their IT challenges, propose solutions, or review ongoing project metrics.
Collaborative Sessions:
Work with internal teams to design tailored solutions, often involving brainstorming and strategy sessions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports or presentations summarizing project updates, technical findings, or next steps for clients.


AS Project Managers
Team Coordination:
Organize and lead team meetings to ensure milestones are on track. Address any bottlenecks in project workflows.
Stakeholder Management:
Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to align expectations, resolve conflicts, and manage deliverables.
Risk Assessment:
Monitor project risks and dependencies, implementing contingency plans as needed.
Progress Reviews:

Typically the workday would span 14 to 16 hours, sometimes 20 hours. This is because KYNDRYL is unable to keepup its deliverables to the clients. The engagement teams have sold badly solutioned services with lots of gaps, no due diligence done. Kyndryl ends up deploying 20 FTEs instead of budgeted 1 FTE just to douse fires. In the end KYNDRYL is actually paying penalties and trying to keep the customer on its customer list. This is being done because of a very poor management at the top till the very bottom ring of management. They just have one target to drown the company in losses. This is resulting in hidden layoffs by KYNDRYL they force employees to resign. Workplace culture is horrible. The hardest part of job is to keep work life balance. Enjoyable part of job is not there at all.

you get lost in company as so many processes and compliance without clear explaination
Managers playing games for no growth path and kicking employees from one project to other if you seek promotion
no increments multi year 
revenue shrinking at speed
no growth culture .. too many employees doing same job nobody takes ownership
lack of technical resources project are lagging behind
you get assigned to stretch assignments without overtime
favoritism by giving retention bonus to some employees and ignoring all


I am very disheartened to say that I got no promotion. I have 2.5 years of experience as a Senior Customer Service Representative and haven't been promoted once. My performance scores were almost perfect every month. Done a lot of additional tasks. I have an ITIL certification under my belt (which I appreciate that the company gave an exam voucher and training for that). The management just doesn't care how much you have accomplished. All they care about is if we are maintaining our stacks. I am not sure how the other job roles are in Kyndryl but being in customer service is the worst wherever you go.

I worked when Kyndryl when it was a part of IBM India and was known as GTS. In a tenure of 5.5 years, I worked in 2 teams and had 8 manager changes. Too much volatility in the Management and bad politics.  Favoritism and pressure to achieve unrealistic goals.  The pay and the pay hikes are also mediocre. Managers threatening employees about their jobs is something that I saw only in this organization. The higher positions are only filled through sycophancy and "being in the good books" with the management and not on merit. Overall, a dismal place to work.

Lots of micro management. ppl at higher mgmt level enjoy doing nothing and just accepting all the work dumped by the client. They have no client mgmt skills, no negotiation skills. All that they do is catch and dispatch what customer says. Just offloading client requirements on the team members. But top level get to enjoy life at kyndryl, rest of them only suffer. No culture, no learning, they make you work for free in weekends. They make lots of fake promises and nothing happens in reality. Worst place.

Pros
I'm working in Mainframe as a zos systems programmer, I'm part of a team who takes work very seriously , I got oppertunity to learn mainframe from this awesome team   . They support you by heart . These days organization is trying to keep their resources at competitive pay. It all depends on one's contribution in team and rolls and responsibilities.

Overall it's good place to work!!

Cons 
Its completely work from home, but the timing is North America shift , I don't see flexibility in hours . strictly follow the time

There is no job security in this company, each year they target to send people to bench at year end. If you have influence you can become a manager otherwise your hardwork will not give promotion at all. only Managers in this company living lavish life without any skills, they don't even have communication skill, professionalism, or technical skills.  HR don't have even one percent power to do any help to employees even in any emergency situations also. And no good salary hikes.
