I will not recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely no work-life balance, anyone will hail you for anything at any time of the day or night!
Endless back-to-back meetings.
Everything will have the highest priority.
Impossible to plan one's day ahead, there will be constant interruptions and ad-hoc tasks.
Every work/task flows top-down and from Japan.
Most seniors/managers will be highly disrespectful, and sometimes even peers will have scant respect, depending on their location.
If you work in Japan, you need to know Japanese, if you work in India you need to be conversant in Hindi. English proficiency is quite bad at certain work locations even in India.
The tremendous amount of bureaucracy and internal politics will hamper your day-to-day work.
There will be no proper org structure, there will be constant change and ambiguous responsibilities and assignments.
The outside company image will be great, mainly due to superb marketing and PR efforts and also certain favoured employees spreading lots of fake positivity.

Rakuten India is filled with political and selfish leaders. People bring their known people and build their own territory, no value for hardworking and old time employees. If you keep praising and buttering your manager then you can get promotions with fancy titles and perks every year 

the employees here will learn how to sell your soul and work unethically.
One can handle uneducated bosses after working here.
you will wear different hats , lier , cheater , bluff identities and then maybe if you get time a software professional also.

-  First thing in Day is Daily team meeting to work assigned
- Disciplined, systematic work style.
- If work under Japan manager then no one disturb you until emergency , if you work under Indian manager then every thing is emergency (its about work culture not nationality)

Most claim they are employee friendly, but this company in Bengaluru, India means it to core.

Everyone I met HR, People partner, My team, enabling team, admin, even the guy who delivered laptop is so awesome.
