After graduating from Jamia Hamdard University with a MBA degree, WNS Global Services was the first place where I got the chance to implement my academics knowledge into work. Honestly, I have learned a lot and have come really far in terms of knowledge and job in a short span of time. 

A typical day at work would start from switching on the system early morning and begin to search. Different jobs everyday with different challenges including dealing with the client on daily basis via email and fulfilling their requirements. A 1 hour break would take the steam off. However, a complete 9 hours job of different levels of excitement and at times boredom too.

I have learned quite a lot, from being a trainee, to being a mentor of the freshly graduated interns,  teaching them the basics of research. However, I have learned how to deal with clients, Preparing daily research logs and reports which gets approved by the manager and is forwarded to the client on daily basis.

In-terms of management, Well, not really what I expected. It’s more like a school when it comes to freedom and feasibility of being relaxed at work. A bit strict, which is not at all required and it should be a bit more professional rather than a ‘controlled’ environment.

Work mates are very friendly and professional, I enjoy working with them and definitely get to implement the 'teamwork' criteria at all times.  

The hardest part of job is working late hours without any overtime.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the different projects we get introduced to. Different challenges make work more interesting and not to forget the rapid growth in learning.

Review of My Experience at WNS (4 Years)
I WAS "A" GRADE CANDIDATE

My time at WNS has been nothing short of disappointing and disheartening. Here's why:

Worst Work Culture: The environment lacks any semblance of positivity or motivation. Employees are treated as replaceable cogs in a machine rather than valued contributors.

Unprofessional Managers: The management is utterly unprofessional and unapproachable. Instead of providing guidance and support, they often add to the stress and create unnecessary barriers to productivity.

Abysmal Salary Growth: Over four years of dedicated service, I received a mere ₹200 increment in my salary as per the salary slip. This is not just insulting but also speaks volumes about how the organization values its employees.

No Career Growth: Despite being an 'A-grade employee' for three consecutive years, there was no promotion or recognition for my hard work and dedication. This stagnation kills motivation and professional aspirations.

Inhuman Work Hours: Shift timings often extend to 13-14 hours a day, making it impossible to maintain a work-life balance. Such exploitation of employees is unacceptable.

Unrealistic Targets: The targets set by the organization are not just challenging but outright unreasonable, with no consideration for the well-being of the employees.

In conclusion, WNS has failed me in every aspect—be it career growth, work culture, or employee support. I cannot recommend this organization to anyone seeking a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Working for WNS which is top New York listed company has provided ample of experience in profile such as reviewing financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. To manage staff, preparing their work schedules and assigning specific duties; direct and coordinate organizations financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary. To determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. Basically it gave me opportunity to handle end to end process required for any project. From clients to Operations to budgets entire process, harness varied skills that would help any organisation further. Encouraging and nurturing management that would foresee the growth among young growing leaders. Hardest part of the job was to juggle between various roles and to be effectively and efficiently be multi functional. Superb co-workers and seniors/ mentors around help you to enhance in your position and become driving force to achieve best.

if you really are looking out for a decent job, do not give interview in this company. They have the worst interview process. Fist they don't mention you on call that it is a full day interview, second they call many people for the interview and then keep you waiting for the whole day. they have 6 rounds of interview first being email writing round. Even if you failed in the first round they do not inform you that immediately, they will keep you waiting till the third round and in the third round they say that you didn't pass the email writing test. i mean if you know that a person has failed the first round why keep him waiting till evening. Next they take an online test, where even if your answers are wrong they check them, correct them and then submit the same. whats the point of taking a test if you have to correct the answers and submit. later they take a grammar test after which they take the web chat round, where they do not provide any info of what the chat is about, or what is the client query, and if you are not able to respond because you don't have idea about what the situation is they reject you. and after all this trouble they have the audacity to tell you to apply the next month. They do not even open their canteen for the candidates, i am ok to pay for lunch, but you have to go all the way out of the park to eat something that too only sandwiches and chat is available.  how are we supposed to know all this, they should have atleast informed that bring your own lunch as it is a full day interview.  worst place and never applying in this company.

Always be at the floor at least half an hour before the shift get my applications ready go through the updates and address the team about the same listen and plan out the days proceedings  the read the emails reply to them and then start monitoring the calls or if here are any supervisory calls take them resolve the issue.
prepare the stats each interval which is of every half an hour address the concerns to my senior .
Learned about the importance of liasoning between the management and the non management people or the front line agents the importance of striking a balance and ways of doing so to make my life easier .
u cant generalize that all the co workers are excellent it depends  have to give importance to co workers who are much efficient and productive and try to develop others who are lagging behind a little bit.
The hardest part of the job is the clients visit we have to be extra cautious and see to it that everything is in order  have to anticipate so many things and constantly be on the toes.
The most enjoyable part is when we toast our success or sometimes when we party not necessarily in any clubs but it may be a small gathering in the cafeteria or at the rewards and recognition functions and also in outings and being in an young crowd also makes u feel more young and energetic

My day at WNS starts at 11:30 in Morning ( IST )  and it continues till 12 - 12:30 ( IST ) in the night. It is a challenging role and a challenging process which keeps me moving and of course I am a self starter and a self motivated person which keeps me moving. Everytime a enthusiasm to learn something new is something which motivates me be it working on Excel sheet , be it talking to the clients in UK and discussing a challenge in the process. My team members  and my peers , i.e my team leaders reporting to me are very supportive and they are self motivated , they understand the situation and they themselves require very less support at work which allows me to focus on my core job of managing process.

Hardest thing about my job is making time for self initiated projects. You can get so busy with client work that often those personal projects that can become a turning point in your practice are pushed to the side.

My favorite parts of my job includes the ability to work independently (trust from employers) & the people I work with. It’s great to work with people that care about their company and doing a good job. It’s hard to find that environment today because so many people just don’t care about honesty, hard work & integrity.To get it done on time under high pressure and appreciation of the same.

A typical day at work would be doing your regular MIS reports, conference calls from customers to discuss/review their requirements/draft copies of new reports, project meeting to check the status of ongoing projects.

I have learned about time management, advance notification to management when you see things can fall hence I have learnt how to give zero surprises to management this helps them plan better.

Management is a art, I have learned how to plan, organize and distribute work to manage equal distribution of work across the team.

Its very important to know your co-workers well, the kind of skill sets they have and the kind of challenges they have at work, this helps you place them accordingly in work assignments. It also helps you provide them required training to upgrade their knowledge.

Curricular activities like fun at work, organizing such events, collecting funds, sending out invites, creating the enthusiasm at work place for other co-workers to participate in such activities is some times challenging, it sometimes make me feel is the hardest part of the job.

Thee most enjoyable part of the job are the business conference meeting held out of office premises where you have top management giving you insight about companies upcoming plans & programs and the fun games.
