Trainer - Capacity Building at Sense International India
Sense International India (Sense India) is a pioneering non-governmental organisation that has spent 27 years supporting individuals with Deafblindness and Multiple Disabilities (Db/MD). We are expanding our team and looking for two highly motivated Trainers for Capacity Building to be based in Ahmedabad.
In this role, you will lead the planning and implementation of training initiatives that empower project partners, families, and professionals across the country.
Role Overview
- Job Title: Trainer - Capacity Building (2 Vacancies)
- Location: Ahmedabad (with frequent travel to national project sites)
- Contract: Full-time, renewable two-year contract (includes 6-month probation)
- Schedule: 40 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
- Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Training Design: Identify training needs through partner consultations and develop comprehensive skill-building packages for stakeholders.
- Digital Learning Management: Manage our online Learning Management System (LMS), including course scheduling, faculty follow-ups, and candidate enrolment.
- Impact Monitoring: Follow up with partners to measure the effectiveness of training and document changes among service users and educators.
- Strategy & Content: Contribute to institutional strategy, research publications, and the creation of an annual organisational event calendar.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain detailed databases of all sessions and support organisational reporting with timely information.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate degree with a Diploma or higher in Disability Studies (Deafblindness, VI, HI, ID, MD) OR a degree/diploma in Therapy (Physio, Occupational, or Speech).
- Experience: At least two years of experience working with children or young adults with disabilities.
- Training Background: Proven experience in organising and facilitating training programs with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to analyse data to adopt effective courses of action.
- Communication: Strong written and spoken skills in English and Hindi.
- Values: A deep commitment to safeguarding and a willingness to learn communication methods for persons with Db/MD.

Pay: ₹9,438.52 - ₹39,703.12 per month
