Job Summary
The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students. The teacher will plan and conduct physical education classes, organize sports activities, and encourage student participation in indoor and outdoor games while ensuring student safety and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for students as per the school curriculum and guidelines.
- Develop lesson plans that improve students’ physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, and overall well-being.
- Train students in various sports and physical activities such as athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, yoga, and other fitness programs.
- Organize and supervise sports events, annual sports day, inter-school competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain discipline and ensure safety standards during all physical activities and sports sessions.
- Identify talented students and provide guidance and coaching for competitive sports participation.
- Monitor and assess students’ physical performance, participation, and progress.
- Maintain sports equipment, inventory, and playground facilities in proper condition.
- Promote teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and healthy habits among students.
- Collaborate with teachers and school management for school events and student development activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, CBSE guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) / Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.)
- Relevant teaching certification preferred
- Prior experience in school sports coaching or PE teaching preferred

- Strong knowledge of physical fitness and sports training

- Organizational and event management abilities
- First aid and basic injury management knowledge preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching/coaching experience preferred
- Experience in CBSE school environment is an added advantage
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor sports activities
- Participation in school events beyond regular school hours when required
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
