job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer and Operator to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will program, operate, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to ensure the accuracy and quality of components and products. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to maintain compliance with specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- CMM Programming:
- Create and modify CMM programs using [Insert CMM Software, e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or others].
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and other engineering specifications.
- CMM Operation:
- Set up and operate CMMs to inspect and validate parts and assemblies.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze measurement results and generate inspection reports.
- Collaborate with the quality and engineering teams to address deviations or non-conformities.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of CMMs to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, programs, and reports.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in CMM programming and operation, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency in CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, Mitutoyo, or others.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality standards is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
