Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.
- Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity
- Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
- Diploma/ITI in Structural/Civil Engineering is required.
- A combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight to twelve (8-12) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
- Modelling of Structural Steel and concrete for pipe racks, process structures, buildings, Industrial shed with & without crane, Foundation, miscellaneous supports, S3D
- Modeling of Traffic objects like, handrail, ladders, fireproofing, connection envelopes etc. in SP3D Software.
- Steel & Concrete MTO and xml file generation from S3D
- Structural drawings (Structural Steel, Concrete, Foundations, Rebar, Paving, etc.) preparation from S3D and in Smart Sketch
- Structural Drawing Sketch preparation in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Able to work in plant coordinates and global coordinates.
- Structural Standard Drawings preparation.
- Incorporation of comments received from client & other discipline.
- Interaction with other departments for clarifications on information relevant to drawing.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Able to export S3D model to Navisworks and review for clashes and other required actions.
