Sense International India (Sense India) is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at the C U Shah Centre in Thane or our South Mumbai location. We are dedicated to providing high-quality rehabilitative services to children and adults with Deafblindness and Multiple Disabilities (Db/MD).
This role offers a broad scope for professional development while making a meaningful impact on the quality of life for individuals with complex sensory and physical disabilities.
Role Overview
- Job Title: Occupational Therapist
- Locations: Thane (C U Shah Centre) OR South Mumbai
- Contract: Part-time or Full-time, renewable two-year contract (includes 6-month probation)
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday (2nd and 4th Saturday Weekly off)
- Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, competitive with sector standards
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Therapy Planning: Assess the needs of children and adults with Db/MD to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans focusing on sensory and physical skills.
- Independence & Daily Living: Foster activities of daily living, including homemaking and pre-vocational skills, to promote maximum independence.
- Environment Adaptation: Modify classroom and centre environments to improve accessibility and mobility.
- Community & Home Support: Visit homes to provide therapy and suggest necessary environment adjustments.
- Training & Education: Design and deliver training programs for families, caregivers, and allied professionals on therapeutic needs.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with special educators and IEP team members to interpret results and meet student goals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Must hold a national or state license to practice occupational therapy.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with individuals with Db/MD, their families, and professionals.

Pay: ₹10,597.29 - ₹40,659.37 per month
