Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Head – Raw Materials to lead the procurement of raw materials for our manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, contract negotiations, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and procurement of raw materials.
- Develop and manage a reliable supplier network.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials to support production plans.
- Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and supplier performance.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and alternate source development.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Quality, NPD, Stores, and Finance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain ERP records.
- Prepare procurement MIS, spend analysis, and vendor performance reports.
Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, Industrial Engineering or relevant strong experience
- 10–15 years of experience in raw material sourcing for manufacturing, preferably in die casting, foundry, CNC machining, or precision engineering.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor development, supply chain management, cost negotiation, ERP systems, and inventory planning.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
