Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control) to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling production activities to ensure timely project completion, efficient resource utilization, and on-time customer deliveries. The role requires close coordination with Design, Purchase, Stores, Production, and Quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor production plans based on customer delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Production, and Quality departments for smooth project execution.
- Track material availability and ensure timely procurement of critical components.
- Monitor daily production progress and identify bottlenecks impacting delivery timelines.
- Release and monitor work orders for fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing activities.
- Maintain project trackers, production MIS reports, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and manufacturing resources.
- Follow up on pending production activities and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for outsourced manufacturing work.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and support inventory planning.
- Participate in production review meetings and provide regular project status updates.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).
- Good understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
- Experience in handling BOMs, routing, production scheduling, and project tracking.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems and MS Excel.
- Strong coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in PPC within Machine Manufacturing, SPM, Automation, or Engineering industries.
- Experience in project-based manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
- Familiarity with production KPI monitoring and MIS reporting.
