We are looking for a skilled Solar Inverter PCBA Designer who can take ownership of the complete hardware design cycle—from schematic creation to BOM finalization, component selection, and PCBA testing. The ideal candidate understands power electronics deeply and can design reliable, efficient, and cost‑optimized PCBAs for solar inverter applications.
ey Responsibilities1. PCBA Design & Development
- Design PCB layouts for solar inverter control boards, power boards, and auxiliary circuits.
- Create schematics using industry‑standard EDA tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD).
- Ensure proper creepage/clearance, thermal management, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Work closely with mechanical and firmware teams for integrated product development.
2. Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation & Management
- Prepare complete and accurate BOMs with part numbers, footprints, ratings, and sourcing details.
- Select components based on electrical performance, availability, cost, and reliability.
- Maintain alternate component lists to avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for component lifecycle and lead‑time analysis.
3. PCBA Testing & Validation
- Develop test plans for functional testing, power testing, and safety validation.
- Perform debugging of PCBA failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, etc.
- Validate inverter performance under different load and environmental conditions.
- Document test results, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
4. Component Knowledge & Selection
- Strong understanding of:
- MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers
- DC‑DC converters, SMPS topologies
- Microcontrollers, DSPs, communication ICs
- Current/voltage sensors, relays, connectors
- Passive components (capacitors, inductors, resistors) for high‑power applications
