Position: Lab Technician
Qualification: DMLT / BMLT
Experience: 5–7 Years
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform collection, processing, and analysis of patient samples as per standard laboratory protocols.
- Conduct routine laboratory investigations with accuracy and maintain high-quality standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper sample identification, handling, storage, and disposal.
- Prepare and verify test reports before submission.
- Follow internal quality control (IQC) and assist in external quality assurance (EQAS) programs.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and documentation accurately.
- Adhere to infection control, biosafety, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory reagents, consumables, and supplies, and report shortages.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and reception for smooth patient service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory at all times.
Requirements
- DMLT or BMLT qualification from a recognized institution.
- 5–7 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory or hospital laboratory.
- Sound knowledge of Biochemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Immunology, and Serology.
- Experience in operating automated laboratory analyzers.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
