The Cinema Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the cinema, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while managing staff, revenue, safety, and daily theatre activities. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and prior experience managing a cinema or multiplex.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cinema theatre.
- Ensure smooth functioning of Box Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Security, Parking, and Technical departments.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest complaints professionally.
- Monitor daily ticket sales, revenue, occupancy, and business performance.
- Supervise movie scheduling and ensure shows start on time.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, attendance, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with projection and technical teams to ensure uninterrupted screenings.
- Monitor food & beverage quality, stock availability, and hygiene standards.
- Conduct daily operational meetings and prepare reports for management.
- Control operational expenses and optimize theatre profitability.
- Handle emergency situations and ensure guest and employee safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall presentation of the theatre premises.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance activities.
- Plan and execute promotional events and customer engagement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Hotel Management, or any relevant discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in cinema theatre or multiplex operations.
- Previous experience as Assistant Cinema Manager or Cinema Manager is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer handling abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and reporting.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in multiplex chains or premium cinema theatres.
- Knowledge of POS systems, ticketing software, and F&B operations.
