Role Overview
NeverOwned is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technician responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the quality standards of open-box electronic appliances before they are approved for customer purchase and online listing. The technician will perform functional testing, physical inspection, quality grading, and final product approval based on company-defined parameters.
Key Responsibilities1. Product Inspection & Quality Testing
- Conduct complete technical inspection of home appliances including:
- Air Conditioners
- Refrigerators
- Washing Machines
- Televisions
- Other open-box electronic products
- Perform essential functionality checks before approving products.
- Verify product performance through required testing procedures.
2. Appliance Functional Testing
Air Conditioners
- Perform cooling test and gas pressure inspection.
- Check compressor performance, remote functionality, display indicators, swing movement, fan noise levels, and overall working condition.
Refrigerators
- Check freezer and fridge cooling performance.
- Test thermostat, compressor noise, door sealing, lights, trays, racks, wiring, and drainage system.
Washing Machines
- Inspect drum rotation, wash cycle operations, control panel, display, spin function, door lock, water inlet system, and leakage issues.
Televisions
- Check display quality, screen condition, audio output, remote functions, HDMI/USB ports, software settings, and startup performance.
3. Physical Condition Evaluation
- Inspect products for:
- Scratches
- Dents
- Rust/corrosion
- Colour fading
- Cleanliness
- Overall appearance
- Categorize product condition as:
- Minor – Acceptable
- Moderate – Technician Decision Required
- Heavy Damage – Reject
4. Product Approval & Listing Decision
- Decide whether products qualify for online listing based on:
- Essential parameters passing successfully.
- Additional quality checks.
- Physical condition standards.
- Identify products requiring repair, replacement parts, or rejection.
5. Repair & Maintenance Support
- Diagnose appliance issues and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Identify defective components and recommend repair solutions.
- Maintain product quality before dispatch to customers.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and checklist records.
- Update product condition, replaced parts, and remarks after inspection.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and sales teams regarding product readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma certification in Electrical, Electronics, Refrigeration, or related field preferred.
- Hands-on experience in appliance repair and inspection.
- Knowledge of AC, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, and TV troubleshooting.
- Understanding of electrical components, wiring, compressors, motors, and display systems.
- Strong attention to detail for quality checking.
- Ability to identify technical and cosmetic defects.
- Basic documentation and reporting skills.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in appliance servicing, electronics repair, quality inspection, or related technical roles preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
