RLT Solutions is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer to join our Instrumentation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial proposals, reviewing customer requirements, estimating project costs, and providing technical support to the sales team. This role requires a strong engineering foundation, analytical thinking, and the ability to deliver competitive and technically compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities
- Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings.
- Prepare accurate techno-commercial quotations and proposals based on customer requirements.
- Analyze project scope and prepare BOQ/BOM and cost estimates.
- Select suitable instrumentation products based on technical specifications and application requirements.
- Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and sales teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and evaluate pricing for purchased components.
- Prepare technical compliance statements, datasheets, and supporting proposal documents.
- Clarify technical queries from customers and provide suitable engineering solutions.
- Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications, company standards, and applicable industry requirements.
- Maintain quotation records, proposal documentation, and revision history.
- Support order handover to the production and project teams after order confirmation.
- Work closely with the sales team to achieve timely submission of proposals and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Freshers or candidates with 0–3 years of experience in Proposal Engineering, Estimation, Tendering, Technical Sales, or Instrumentation are welcome to apply.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of industrial instrumentation products and measurement principles.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of BOQ/BOM preparation and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or ERP software will be an added advantage.
