Chettinad Education and Services (CES) looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Civil & Project Management to manage and coordinate civil works, infrastructure projects and maintenance activities across CES and its institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor civil construction, renovation, expansion and maintenance projects.
- Manage projects from initial planning and estimation through execution, completion and handover.
- Prepare and review BOQs, estimates, budgets, work schedules and material requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and institutional teams for project execution.
- Monitor project quality, progress, timelines, costs and workmanship through regular site inspections.
- Supervise contractors and site teams and ensure compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Monitor building maintenance and infrastructure-related works, including repairs, flooring, roofing, painting and other civil works.
- Identify project risks, delays and infrastructure issues and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction, safety and statutory requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, measurements, approvals and completion records.
- Support project budgeting, cost optimisation and resource planning.
- Drive timely completion of projects while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to institutional operations during project execution.
Experience & Requirements
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction or Infrastructure Management.
- Strong experience in civil works, project execution, renovation, construction and building maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, quantity measurement, billing and cost control.
- Experience in managing contractors, consultants, vendors and multiple projects/sites.
- Good understanding of construction materials, methods, quality standards and site safety.
- Experience in educational institutions, schools, campuses, commercial buildings or similar environments would be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of project management tools would be an advantage.
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Additional certification in Project Management or Construction Management would be an advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
