Roles and Responsibilities
- Examine patients, diagnose conditions and develop appropriate surgical treatment plans.
- Perform plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures according to clinical requirements.
- Manage trauma-related injuries, burns, congenital deformities, wounds and post-surgical reconstruction cases.
- Conduct preoperative assessments and provide postoperative care and follow-up.
- Respond to emergency plastic and reconstructive surgery consultations.
- Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, intensivists, nurses and other clinical departments.
- Explain procedures, expected outcomes, possible risks and recovery plans to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Follow NABH standards, infection-control protocols and hospital safety guidelines.
- Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings and quality-improvement activities.
- Guide junior doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals when required.
Educational Qualification
- MBBS with MCh, DNB or DrNB in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission or relevant State Medical Council
