Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Head – Supply Chain to lead and manage the complete supply chain function for our chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, import/export operations, and vendor management. The candidate must possess hands-on experience working on SAP ERP and have a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and cost optimization.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Management
- Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics operations.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability while optimizing inventory levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develop strategic sourcing plans and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, pricing, and logistics agreements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely material availability.
Planning & Logistics
- Lead demand forecasting, production planning, and material planning activities.
- Manage warehousing, transportation, dispatch, and distribution operations.
- Oversee import/export activities, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and international procurement.
- Optimize freight costs and logistics efficiency.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Ensure effective utilization of SAP ERP across procurement, inventory, and supply chain functions.
- Develop and implement SOPs and digital supply chain initiatives.
- Improve process efficiency through automation and best practices.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Purchase, Finance, Sales, and Quality departments.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Present MIS reports and performance updates to senior management.

Candidate RequirementsExperience
- 15–20 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in the Chemical Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemical, or Process Industry is mandatory.
- Proven expertise in procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and vendor development.
- Experience in handling import/export operations and international procurement.
Skills
- SAP ERP experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supply planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to drive cost optimization and operational excellence.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Hands-on experience in SAP-driven supply chain processes.
- Candidates from Vadodara or nearby locations will be preferred.
