As we scale our high-volume residential footprints, we are looking for an agile, detail-oriented Procurement / Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end supply chain mechanics for our residential rooftop solar vertical.
Role Overview
- Position: Procurement / Purchase Manager (Residential Vertical)
- Company: Spectra Solar Power
- Location: Gurgaon, Haryana (Onsite)
- Experience Required: 4 to 7 years
- Industry Preference: Solar Energy / Solar EPC background is strongly preferred (experience with high-volume residential setups or small-scale commercial setups is a massive plus).
Key Responsibilities
- Residential Kit Standardization: Manage the strategic sourcing and procurement of residential solar components, focusing on the standardization of "solar kits" (PV modules, inverters, structures, meters, and basic Balance of System - BOS).
- High-Velocity Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with regional sales and project teams to ensure just-in-time material availability, supporting fast project turnaround times (TAT) typical of residential solar installations.
- Local Vendor & Distributor Network: Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier-1 module distributors, inverter suppliers, and local fabricators/hardware vendors to secure competitive off-the-shelf pricing and continuous supply.
- Inventory Control & Optimization: Manage warehouse inventory levels closely to prevent capital blockage while ensuring that materials are always ready for immediate dispatch to residential sites.
- Price & Margin Management: Constantly negotiate with suppliers to drive down per-kilowatt ($kW$) component costs, directly protecting and improving residential sales margins.
- Logistics Coordination: Supervise last-mile logistics to ensure materials reach residential rooftops safely, completely, and exactly when the installation teams arrive.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or Supply Chain Management / Operations.
- Experience: 4–7 years of core procurement experience, with a solid track record in Solar EPC or electrical contracting.
- Residential Domain Expertise: Familiarity with residential solar components (such as micro-inverters or string inverters, residential mounting structures, and Net-Metering components) and local sourcing channels.
- Technical Tools: Strong command of MS Excel for tracking fast-moving inventory.
- Soft Skills: High agility, exceptional negotiation tactics for transactional/bulk buying, and excellent communication skills to coordinate between central management and on-ground teams.
