About the Role
Lamppost Digital is looking for a creative and responsible Junior Web Development Executive with practical experience in WordPress and a good understanding of UI/UX design.
The candidate should be able to build clean, responsive and professional websites based on the given content, design direction and client requirements. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys combining design thinking with website development and is interested in developing their skills through real client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive websites using WordPress.
- Build and customize pages using Elementor or similar page builders.
- Convert approved layouts or references into functional web pages.
- Apply UI/UX principles to create clean and user-friendly designs.
- Customize WordPress themes, templates, sections and plugins.
- Ensure websites work properly across mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
- Upload and format website content, images, forms and other elements.
- Perform basic website speed, SEO and performance checks.
- Troubleshoot layout, responsiveness and plugin-related issues.
- Maintain and update existing client websites.
- Follow the assigned work plan and complete tasks within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with the content, design and digital marketing teams.
- Provide clear progress updates and properly document completed work.
Required Skills
- Minimum six months of practical WordPress website development experience.
- Good working knowledge of WordPress and Elementor.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Ability to create responsive and visually consistent layouts.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, forms and website hosting.
- Attention to detail and willingness to perform quality checks.
- Ability to understand requirements and work independently with proper guidance.
- Good communication, time management and learning ability.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD or Canva.
- Basic knowledge of WooCommerce.
- Understanding of website speed optimization and on-page SEO.
- Experience developing websites for actual clients or businesses.
- Basic knowledge of domain, hosting, backups and website migration.
