Occupational Therapist – Inclusive Programme (Cambridge IGCSE)
Location: The Indian Public School, Coimbatore
Purpose of the Role
The Occupational Therapist will support students with diverse learning needs by helping them develop the skills required for learning, independence, and participation in school activities. The therapist will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and the Inclusive Education team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess students to identify occupational therapy needs.
- Plan and provide individual and small-group therapy sessions.
- Support students with fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
- Develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with the Inclusive Education team.
- Work with teachers to provide classroom strategies and accommodations.
- Guide parents on activities and strategies to support their child's development at home.
- Maintain therapy records, progress reports, and assessment documentation.
- Participate in parent meetings, case discussions, and school training programmes.
- Collaborate with special educators, counsellors, speech therapists, and school leaders to ensure effective student support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT).
- Registered Occupational Therapist.
- 2–5 years of experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and sensory needs is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
