We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive CADD Designer – Mechanical to join our growing in bulk material handling systems translates functional requirements and technical calculations into detailed, manufactural 2D and 3D designs. Their core responsibilities center on conceptualizing, detailing, and validating heavy equipment like conveyors, hoppers, and silos to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant operation
Roles & Responsibilities
· Digital Modeling & Detailing: Develop high-precision 3D models and 2D technical drawings for material handling equipment such as stackers, reclaimers, crushers, screens, and chutes.
· Plant Layout & Routing: Prepare comprehensive General Arrangement (GA) drawings and equipment layouts for both new and brownfield sites
· Material Take-Offs & BOMs: Generate and update accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and perform Material Take-Offs using CAD software and spreadsheet tools.
· Design Optimization (DFM & DFA): Ensure Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles are met, enabling easier fabrication, component assembly, and on-site installation.
· Compliance & Codes: Ensure all structural and mechanical drawings adhere strictly to industry standards and safety regulations for material handling.
· Revision & Change Management: Manage design modifications based on checker markups, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and client or site feedback.
Typical Skills & Industry Qualifications
· Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Engineering/Drafting.
· Software Proficiency: 2~3 years’ experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Staad Pro.
· Component Knowledge: Familiarity with the shop detailing of chutes, hoppers, bins, idlers, pulleys, and structural steelwork.
· Team Collaboration: Coordinating across departments (procurement, manufacturing, and project management) to provide technical support.
