We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in the diagnosis and prevention of diseases by accurately collecting, processing, and analyzing patient samples. The ideal candidate is highly organized, strictly adheres to safety protocols, and works effectively under the supervision of our lab manager. [1]
Key Responsibilities:
- Sample Collection: Confidently perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and collect other biological specimens (urine, stool, etc.) while ensuring patient comfort. [1, 2]
- Sample Processing: Safely label, handle, and process specimens according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). [1]
- Testing & Analysis: Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests (e.g., in Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology) using advanced laboratory equipment. [1, 2]
- Quality Control: Calibrate, maintain, and clean laboratory instruments regularly to ensure accuracy. [1, 2, 3]
- Record Keeping: Accurately record, compile, and report test results. Inform the lab in-charge or senior pathologist of any critical or abnormal findings promptly. [1, 2, 3]
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a highly sanitized, safe, and organized laboratory environment in strict compliance with health and hygiene protocols. [1, 2]
- Inventory Management: Monitor lab supplies, reorder materials when necessary, and ensure proper storage of chemicals and reagents. [1]
