Job Description

Enforcement (Within Secondment Hours): Support urgent IP enforcement and customs matter through coordination and documentation management.
Key Activities:
-
Handle urgent Customs matters in coordination with India-based stakeholders.
-
Coordinate with India IP Brand Enforcement and Software Piracy teams for enforcement actions.
-
Participate in attorney docketing meetings to review and discuss ongoing enforcement cases.

Collaborate with outside counsel, who handle the majority of enforcement workload.

Provide paralegal support for administrative follow-ups, including:
-
Processing subsequent documents such as Power of Attorney (POA) signatures.
-
Routing and tracking signed documents to ensure timely submission.
Trademark Prosecution: Support the full lifecycle of trademark prosecution and portfolio management in coordination with outside counsel and stakeholders.
Key Activities:

Instruct and follow up on new trademark filing requests with outside counsel.

Communicate with stakeholders on upcoming trademark deadlines, filings, and renewals.

Monitor and process Watch Notices to identify potential infringements or conflicts.
-
Handle Statements of Use, Maintenance, and Renewal filings with outside counsel.
-
Coordinate evidence gathering for opposition or cancellation proceedings.
-
Ensure regular updates and reviews during docketing meetings with attorneys.

Provide paralegal support for documentation — including signature coordination for legal filings.
Administrative & Coordination Support: Facilitate effective communication, documentation, and meeting management across stakeholders.
Key Activities:

Attend trademark docketing meetings, one-on-one reviews, and internal/external training sessions.

Locate and retrieve documents and prior correspondence or investigation records as needed.

Maintain an organized evidence repository for all trademark and enforcement matters.

Coordinate meetings and call schedules with business stakeholders and outside counsel.

Ensure timely sharing of updates and action items arising from meetings.
Pre‑Requisites:
-
Non- Lawyer (any discipline) with 1–3 years’ experience in IP support, trademark prosecution, legal operations, or paralegal/coordination roles.

Exposure to trademark filings, renewals, docketing, document management, and coordination with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
-
Experience handling legal documentation such as POAs, signature tracking, and evidence/document repositories.
