Role: Operations Manager – Two Food Trucks
About the Role
Spinor Group Private Limited is looking for a responsible, organized, and hands-on Food Truck Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our two food trucks that perform sales in rented events and residential communities not on street.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that both trucks are fully prepared, properly staffed, correctly stocked, and ready to operate according to the company’s food quality and service standards. The role requires strong planning, attention to detail, employee management, and the ability to solve operational issues quickly.
This is a managerial role, but the candidate should also be comfortable supporting the team on-site when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee Both Food Truck Operations
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of both food trucks.
- Ensure that each truck is prepared and ready to leave for its scheduled location on time.
- Monitor operational readiness, staffing, ingredient availability, equipment, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate between the kitchen, truck teams, suppliers, and management.
- Identify operational problems early and take responsibility for resolving them.
2. Supply Chain and Ingredient Procurement
- Oversee the supply chain for ingredients, packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and other operational requirements.
- Conduct or supervise the daily purchase of fresh ingredients and urgent supplies.
- Ensure that ingredients are purchased according to the required quantity, quality, and company-approved specifications.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and prevent both shortages and unnecessary over-purchasing.
- Compare supplier prices while ensuring that food quality is never compromised.
- Maintain purchase records, invoices, and basic inventory documentation.
3. Truck Loading and Checklist Compliance
- Take responsibility for the complete loading of both trucks before departure.
- Follow the company’s truck-loading checklist for every shift and event.
- Verify that all ingredients, sauces, toppings, dough, packaging materials, utensils, cleaning supplies, equipment, and backup items are loaded.
- Cross-check the menu planned for each truck and ensure that every ingredient required for every recipe is available.
- Prevent missed items that could result in menu items becoming unavailable during service.
- Confirm that refrigerated and temperature-sensitive products are stored and transported correctly.
- Ensure that the trucks are unloaded, cleaned, and reorganised after operations.
4. Inventory and Recipe Readiness
- Understand the ingredient requirements for all menu items and recipes.
- Ensure that the correct ingredients are available in the correct quantities for projected sales.
- Coordinate daily preparation quantities with the kitchen and truck teams.
- Monitor ingredient usage, wastage, shortages, and stock variances.
- Support the development and improvement of inventory, loading, and preparation checklists.
- Report repeated wastage, missing stock, or unusual consumption to management.
5. Employee Scheduling and Team Management
- Prepare and manage employee schedules for both trucks.
- Ensure adequate staffing based on expected sales, location, operating hours, and event requirements.
- Coordinate weekly offs, shift changes, employee leave, and emergency replacements.
- Communicate schedules clearly and in advance.
- Track employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and readiness for work.
- Assign responsibilities before each shift and ensure that every employee understands their role.
- Help train employees on operational procedures, loading checklists, food standards, customer service, and company policies.
- Address routine employee issues professionally and escalate serious concerns to management.
6. Food Quality, Standards, and Consistency
- Represent and uphold the company’s values, food standards, and service expectations.
- Ensure that the same recipes, portions, preparation methods, and presentation standards are followed across both trucks.
- Monitor the quality, freshness, taste, and appearance of food being served.
- Ensure that employees follow approved recipes and do not make unauthorized changes.
- Verify compliance with food safety, hygiene, cleaning, storage, and temperature-control procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks during preparation and service.
- Report any food-quality concern immediately and take corrective action.
7. Customer Service and On-Site Support
- Occasionally visit or work at truck locations to supervise operations.
- Support the team during busy service periods when necessary.
- Assist with customer interaction, order coordination, sales, and queue management.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and protect the company’s reputation.
- Observe customer preferences and provide feedback to management regarding menu performance and operational improvements.
- Ensure that the team communicates respectfully and professionally with customers, community representatives, and event organizers.
8. Daily Reporting and Accountability
- Provide daily or weekly updates regarding:
- Truck readiness
- Ingredient purchases
- Stock shortages
- Wastage
- Staffing and attendance
- Operational problems
- Equipment issues
- Customer feedback
- Sales-related observations
- Maintain clear records of purchases, inventory movement, checklist completion, and employee schedules.
- Immediately report any issue that may affect food quality, truck operations, customer service, or scheduled operating times.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in food operations, restaurant management, cloud kitchens, catering, retail operations, logistics, or food truck management is preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple locations or teams simultaneously.
- Good understanding of food ingredients, inventory, purchasing, and storage.
- Ability to understand recipes and calculate ingredient requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking truck-loading requirements.
- Experience preparing employee schedules and managing shift-based teams.
- Ability to lead employees while remaining willing to work alongside them when required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using mobile applications, spreadsheets, checklists, and digital reporting tools.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or flexible hours depending on truck schedules.
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel between operational locations would be an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
