Job Summary
The Chief Specialist – Technical Supply Chain Management (Warranty) is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the organization's aircraft and component warranty programs to maximize warranty recoveries, minimize maintenance costs, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. The role oversees warranty administration for aircraft, engines, components, modifications, and repair services while coordinating with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, OEMs, MROs, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate warranty claim submissions and recoveries.
The position plays a key role in protecting the organization's financial interests by ensuring warranty entitlements are effectively managed throughout the lifecycle of aircraft assets and maintenance activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarranty Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Technical Warranty Management Program.
- Administer warranty coverage for aircraft, engines, APU, landing gear, components, modifications, and repair services.
- Monitor warranty periods, contractual obligations, and claim eligibility to maximize recoveries.
- Ensure timely identification, validation, and submission of warranty claims to OEMs, vendors, repair organizations, and suppliers.
- Track warranty claim status through to resolution, settlement, and financial recovery.
- Maintain warranty records, databases, and supporting documentation to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
- Review maintenance events to identify warranty opportunities before repair or replacement activities.
Technical & Commercial Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Technical Records, Procurement, and Finance to validate warranty claims.
- Coordinate with aircraft manufacturers, engine OEMs, component manufacturers, repair vendors, and lessors regarding warranty matters.
- Interpret warranty agreements, purchase contracts, repair agreements, and maintenance support programs.
- Ensure warranty conditions are met, including documentation, maintenance practices, reporting requirements, and return material processes.
- Support contract negotiations by providing warranty-related technical and commercial expertise.
Financial Recovery & Cost Optimization
- Maximize warranty recoveries and reduce maintenance expenditure through effective warranty administration.
- Monitor warranty credits, reimbursements, and supplier settlements.
- Reconcile warranty recoveries with Finance to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Analyze warranty trends to identify recurring failures and opportunities for supplier performance improvement.
- Prepare financial reports on warranty savings, recoveries, and outstanding claims.
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Develop warranty performance metrics and dashboards.
- Monitor warranty claim cycle times and recovery rates.
- Analyze component reliability, warranty utilization, and supplier performance.
- Identify systemic issues affecting warranty recoveries and recommend corrective actions.
- Support reliability programs through analysis of warranty data and failure trends.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with warranty provisions contained within OEM agreements, maintenance contracts, and lease agreements.
- Maintain complete documentation supporting warranty claims and recoveries.
- Support internal and external audits relating to warranty management.
- Ensure warranty processes comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality management standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of contractual and financial information.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop and improve warranty management procedures, workflows, and controls.
- Identify opportunities to automate warranty administration and reporting.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives related to technical supply chain and warranty management.
- Benchmark warranty processes against aviation industry best practices.
- Deliver training and guidance to Engineering and Maintenance personnel on warranty awareness and claim requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA or Aviation Management) is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management, or Project Management are desirable (e.g., CIPS, APICS/ASCM, PMP).
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in aviation engineering, technical supply chain, maintenance planning, procurement, warranty administration, or technical services.
- At least 3–5 years of experience managing aircraft and component warranty programs within an airline, MRO, or aircraft manufacturer.
- Experience with aircraft OEM warranty agreements, repair contracts, and maintenance support programs.
- Demonstrated experience in warranty claim management, supplier coordination, and financial recovery.

Pay: ₹225,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
