Job Summary
The Chief Specialist – Technical Supply Chain Management (Budget & Planning) is responsible for leading the budgeting, financial planning, cost control, forecasting, and performance analysis of the Technical Supply Chain function. The role ensures that material planning, procurement activities, inventory investment, repair management, and supplier expenditures are aligned with the organization's operational objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance, aircraft availability, and financial discipline.
The position supports Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams by providing financial analysis, budget governance, performance reporting, and strategic planning to optimize lifecycle costs and supply chain efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesBudget Planning & Financial Management
- Develop and coordinate the annual operating and capital budgets for the Technical Supply Chain function.
- Prepare rolling forecasts, financial plans, and long-term budget projections aligned with fleet growth and maintenance requirements.
- Monitor budget utilization and expenditure against approved budgets.
- Analyze monthly financial performance and identify cost variances with recommended corrective actions.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and budget performance presentations for senior leadership.
- Support financial planning for aircraft induction, fleet expansion, heavy maintenance, and major engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and budget governance processes.
Cost Control & Performance Analysis
- Monitor inventory investment, repair costs, procurement spending, logistics expenses, and supplier performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Perform lifecycle cost analysis for aircraft components, rotable assets, consumables, and repair programs.
- Evaluate financial impacts of provisioning strategies, inventory optimization, and supplier contracts.
- Support development of cost reduction initiatives across Technical Supply Chain operations.
- Analyze key cost drivers affecting material availability and maintenance support.
Supply Chain Planning
- Support material planning strategies based on maintenance schedules, reliability programs, and operational demand.
- Coordinate financial planning with Procurement, Engineering, Maintenance Planning, and Warehouse teams.
- Review inventory levels and recommend stocking strategies that balance service levels and investment.
- Monitor repair cycle performance and associated financial impacts.
- Support provisioning activities for new aircraft, fleet modifications, and engineering projects.
Reporting & Governance
- Develop KPIs and financial performance metrics for Technical Supply Chain activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
- Monitor supplier financial performance and contract expenditures.
- Support internal and external audits related to financial controls and supply chain governance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve budgeting processes, reporting accuracy, and financial controls.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives involving ERP and supply chain systems.
- Improve financial visibility through automation and business intelligence reporting.
- Support implementation of best practices in aviation supply chain planning and financial management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Aviation Management) is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS/ASCM (CPIM or CSCP), CILT, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or PMP are desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in aviation technical supply chain, procurement, materials management, finance, or engineering support.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning, or cost management within an airline, MRO, or aviation organization.
- Experience supporting aircraft maintenance operations and technical material planning.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per month
