We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst – E-commerce & Sales to transform complex business, customer, product, marketing, and sales data into actionable insights that support commercial growth and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with E-commerce and sales data, with the ability to analyze performance across products, marketplaces, websites, countries, and marketing channels.
This role requires strong expertise in SQL, Excel, BI tools, E-commerce analytics, sales reporting, dashboard development, and performance analysis. You will work closely with E-commerce, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Management teams to identify opportunities, detect performance issues, and support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze E-commerce and sales performance across products, categories, marketplaces, countries, and sales channels.
- Build and maintain automated dashboards and reports for key business KPIs.
- Track and analyze metrics including Revenue, Units Sold, Conversion Rate, Average Order Value (AOV), Sessions, Traffic, CTR, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), ROAS, Returns, and Profitability.
- Perform product and SKU-level analysis to identify top-performing, underperforming, and high-growth products.
- Analyze sales trends, seasonality, customer behaviour, pricing, promotions, and product performance.
- Develop sales forecasts and trend analyses to support commercial and inventory planning.
- Analyze E-commerce conversion funnels from traffic and product discovery through Add-to-Cart, Checkout, and Purchase.
- Identify funnel drop-offs and provide actionable recommendations to improve conversion performance.
- Conduct customer segmentation, cohort analysis, retention analysis, and repeat-purchase analysis.
- Analyze marketing-channel performance and its contribution to sales and profitability.
- Evaluate promotions, discounts, pricing changes, campaigns, and product launches to measure their commercial impact.
- Support structured A/B testing and experimentation by defining KPIs, analyzing results, and identifying statistically meaningful performance changes.
- Identify unusual performance patterns, data anomalies, and business risks and communicate them proactively.
- Combine data from multiple sources to create a clear and consistent view of business performance.
- Translate complex analysis into clear business insights and recommendations for management and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with teams to define KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and reliable data definitions.
- Continuously improve reporting automation and reduce repetitive manual analysis.
E-commerce & Sales Analytics

Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, E-commerce Analytics, or Sales Analytics experience.
- Proven experience analyzing E-commerce and sales data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL for querying, combining, and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of E-commerce KPIs and sales funnels.
- Experience building automated dashboards and management reports.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization and KPI reporting best practices.
- Experience with forecasting, trend analysis, segmentation, and performance analysis.
- Ability to translate data into meaningful business recommendations rather than only presenting reports.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify, Amazon, or other major E-commerce platforms.
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and E-commerce tracking.
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, or Amazon marketplace analytics is an advantage.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data warehouses and platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Experience with CRM, marketing, advertising, and customer lifecycle data.
- Understanding of A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- Experience working with international or multi-market E-commerce businesses.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics and reporting workflows is an advantage.
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate should be able to answer important commercial questions such as:
What is driving or reducing sales? Which products and categories are contributing most to growth? Where are customers dropping out of the conversion funnel? Which markets and channels are performing best? How are pricing and promotions affecting revenue and profitability? What opportunities should the business prioritize next?
The role goes beyond dashboard creation. We are looking for someone who can connect data with business performance and convert analysis into clear, measurable actions.
