Education required: BSC/MSC MICROBIOLOGY

Duties & Responsibilities :
· Receive & verify the sample along with appropriate requisition form/computer entry.
· Cultivate, isolate and assist in identifying bacteria & other microbiological organisms
and performs various bacteriological, myco-bacteriological & fungal tests Conduct
Laboratory Tests under supervision.
· Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, identification systems
under supervision.
· Analyze test results and ensure accuracy under supervision.
· Performs sensitivity testing of organisms isolated and send reports promptly to the
concerned departments.
· Aids in the preparation and decontamination of culture media as well as
decontamination of chemical samples under supervision.
· Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
· Assist in conducting quality control checks to ensure test reliability and accuracy.
· Acquire expertise in performing and reporting serological tests under supervision.
· Participate in laboratory accreditation and proficiency testing programs.
· Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments under supervision.
· Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions under supervision.
· Adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
· Assist in proper disposal of hazardous materials.
