Workshop Manager – Maruti Suzuki Job Profile
A Workshop Manager at a Maruti Suzuki dealership is responsible for managing the overall service workshop operations, ensuring vehicle quality, customer satisfaction, technician productivity, and workshop profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Maruti Suzuki service workshop.
- Supervise Service Advisors, Technicians, Team Leaders, and workshop staff.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired according to Maruti Suzuki standards and SOPs.
- Monitor job card opening, job allocation, repair progress, quality checks, and vehicle delivery.
- Achieve workshop targets for:
- Labour revenue
- Parts sales
- Customer-pay jobs
- Productivity and efficiency
- Vehicle retention
- Customer satisfaction (CSI)
- Monitor TAT (Turnaround Time) and ensure timely vehicle delivery.
- Handle customer complaints and escalations and ensure proper resolution.
- Coordinate with Parts, Warranty, Bodyshop, Insurance, and Sales departments.
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, attendance, and performance.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and final vehicle checks.
- Control workshop expenses, overtime, consumables, and warranty/rework costs.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of special tools and workshop equipment.
- Implement 5S, safety, cleanliness, and environmental standards.
- Analyze workshop MIS/KPI reports and take corrective action.
- Conduct staff training and motivate the team to achieve targets.
- Maintain compliance with Maruti Suzuki dealer processes, audits, and quality requirements.

- Knowledge of workshop MIS and KPI analysis.
- Good communication and decision-making skills.
