Job Description:
As a member of the GSOC team, the Cloud Support Specialist will be responsible for the administration, automation, support, maintenance and monitoring of cloud-based security solutions across multi cloud and Kubernetes environments. The role requires strong expertise in Kubernetes administration, cloud security operations, Python scripting, and API driven automation to support scalable and secure cloud workload protection capabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cloud Support Specialist is responsible for any or all the following activities:
. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Cloud Workload Protection Platform, ensuring CGI cloud environments — including cloud accounts, Kubernetes clusters, containers and workloads — are properly onboarded, secured and monitored.
. Partner with cloud platform teams, DevOps engineers and Kubernetes administrators to maintain operational visibility, security coverage and platform compliance across multi cloud environments.
. Monitor onboarding status, security posture and compliance metrics, and provide operational and compliance reporting to stakeholders.
. Identify and remediate onboarding gaps, policy violations and monitoring issues in collaboration with cloud and infrastructure teams.
. Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash scripting and REST APIs to improve onboarding, deployment, monitoring and operational efficiency.
. Support vulnerability management, compliance reporting and cloud asset inventory collection through automation and operational tooling.
. Document custom configurations, automation workflows, API integrations and operational procedures.
. Ensure all planned changes adhere to GSOC Change Management processes and security best practices.
. Maintain compliance with CGI Global Security standards and operational requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong expertise in cloud security operations, Kubernetes administration, cloud workload protection platforms (CWPP/CNAPP), endpoint security, python scripting and/or API driven automation. Experience with platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud or Prisma Cloud is highly desirable.
Education and Certifications
. Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Systems/Software Engineering is required.
. Relevant Cloud Certifications from Cloud major providers (AWS. GCP, Azure, OCI) or Kubernetes Administration are highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should have expertise and strong experience (5+ years) with some of the following areas (but not limited).

. Administer, maintain and optimize Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP) such as CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Prisma Cloud or similar cloud native security solutions.
. Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting in enterprise cloud environments (AKS, EKS, GKE)
. Container security and Kubernetes workload protection
. Experience developing automation scripts using Python and Bash
. Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs for automation and operational workflows
. Python scripting and automation development
. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Jenkins)
Skills:
. Strong Python scripting and automation development skills
. Experience with API tools and frameworks (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI)
. Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
. Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, Remedy ITSM, ServiceNow.
. Security operations, ITIL 3/4
. Strong communication skills (Oral/Written) (English and French a major plus)
