Job Summary
The Center Manager will be responsible for the overall management and profitability of the Dehradun diagnostic center. The role requires ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, delivering exceptional patient experience, achieving business targets, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring statutory and NABH/NABL compliance. The position also focuses on business development, doctor engagement, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
- Ensure smooth functioning of all departments including Reception, Radiology, Pathology, Sample Collection, Billing, and Customer Service.
- Monitor daily patient flow and reduce waiting time.
- Ensure timely report generation and delivery.
- Maintain operational SOPs across all departments.
- Ensure uninterrupted services throughout operational hours.
2. Business Development
- Achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop relationships with referring doctors, hospitals, clinics, and corporate clients.
- Increase patient footfall through local marketing initiatives.
- Identify new business opportunities in Dehradun and surrounding areas.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns with the marketing team.
3. Patient Experience
- Ensure exceptional patient satisfaction.
- Resolve patient complaints promptly.
- Maintain high service standards.
- Improve patient retention through quality service.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement corrective actions.
4. Team Management
- Lead Front Office Executives, Radiology Technicians, Phlebotomists, Nurses, and Support Staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters.
- Monitor attendance and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Ensure discipline and professional conduct.
5. Financial Management
- Monitor daily collections.
- Ensure billing accuracy.
- Control operational expenses.
- Optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor inventory and prevent wastage.
6. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure NABH/NABL guidelines are followed.
- Maintain documentation for audits.
- Ensure statutory compliance.
- Monitor infection control practices.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed wherever applicable.
7. Vendor & Inventory Management
- Maintain stock of consumables.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor procurement activities.
- Avoid stock shortages.
8. HR Coordination
- Coordinate recruitment requirements with HR.
- Monitor attendance, leave, and shift management.
- Facilitate induction and training.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Handle employee grievances at center level.
9. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare Daily MIS.
- Submit Monthly Revenue Reports.
- Monitor operational KPIs.
- Track patient conversion ratio.
- Present center performance reports to management.
10. Safety & Facility Management
- Ensure cleanliness of the center.
- Monitor facility maintenance.
- Ensure fire safety compliance.
- Maintain biomedical waste management standards.
- Ensure uninterrupted utility services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field.
- MBA/MHA will be preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Hospital/Diagnostic Centre Operations.
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in Diagnostic Centres, Imaging Centres, or Multi-specialty Hospitals preferred.
